VIP VISIT PROVIDES HOPE FOR FUTURE
Our renovation project at Temperance Hall in Haverfordwest was visited by the Member of Parliament for MP for Mid and South Pembrokeshire, Henry Tufnell MP, last Friday 7 November. Henry met with the team to discuss the project and to better understand the role that Haverfordwest Heritage can play in the town’s regeneration.

An Autumnal update for Temperance hall
Following the success of our Open Doors event in early September, we are in a good place with news about listed building consent and further funding…
Opening our Doors once more…
We are looking forward to Opening our Doors and welcoming people once again…
Saturday 6 September, 10.00am to 2.00pm
Haverfordwest Heritage acquired the 1888 Grade II listed Temperance Hall early in 2024, and we gave people a couple of opportunities to take a look around before the first phase of building works took place at the end of 2024. The events proved popular, and so we would like to offer people another chance to take a look inside Temperance Hall before our builders commence Phase Two of the project.
Temperance Hall Summer Update
At the start of the year the scaffolding came down from Temperance Hall to reveal a beautifully repaired and repainted exterior. Also revealed on the west elevation is a large mural celebrating the reimagining of the building as a community printworks, which will be called Plas Gwasg – in English, the Print Palace.
Doors Open to see inside Temperance Hall
Haverfordwest Heritage are offering another opportunity to see inside the unique Grade II listed Temperance Hall as part of Cadw’s Open Doors season this September. The building has stood vacant since 2009, but is now planned to be renovated and brought to life as a community arts venue.
